DES MOINES, Iowa — Mercy College of Health Sciences has officially launched Building Our Future, its strategic plan for 2026 through 2030 under the leadership of President Adreain HenryOD, EdD. The plan builds on the vision and commitments established in Charting Our Course, its previous strategic plan, and charts a clear path forward for the College across four years of purposeful work.

Building Our Future reflects who we are and who we are called to be. This plan is the result of listening deeply to our community and affirming our commitment to preparing compassionate, highly skilled healthcare professionals who serve with excellence. I am proud of the collaborative spirit that shaped this work, and I am confident it will guide us well in the years ahead,” said President Henry.

Building Our Future is organized around three pillars: Our People, Our Purpose, and Our Potential. Each pillar encompasses goals, strategies, and actions that serve as a blueprint for institutional advancement through 2030.

The strategic planning process, conducted throughout 2025 and 2026, was grounded in reflection, collaboration, and shared commitment to the mission of Mercy College of Health Sciences. The College engaged faculty, staff, students, administrators, alumni, healthcare partners, and members of the Board of Directors in a comprehensive and inclusive process. Facilitation was provided by Father Dennis Holtschneider, EdD, Consultant, Nygren Consulting, LLC.
