This eight-hour course is designed for anyone interested in learning basic electrocardiogram (EKG) rhythms and what medications are vital when a patient has a cardiac emergency. No previous education or experience is necessary. This course is perfect for any healthcare provider who wishes to know a bit more about cardiac rhythms and emergency pharmacology. The course includes cardiac anatomy and physiology, measuring EKG intervals, calculating heart rate based on the EKG, and an introduction to the common cardiac arrest and peri-arrest rhythms and their treatment.
This course is considered a great "prep" course for Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). This is also a great refresher course!
