ADVANCED EKG


OBJECTIVE

This course supports the efforts of the American Heart Association's Mission: Lifeline(R), a national initiative to improve quality of care and outcomes in heart attack patients by improving healthcare systems' readiness and responses to STEMI patients. This course is intended for use by out-of­-hospital healthcare providers, emergency department personnel, and other STEMI systems-of-care providers. The course curriculum is based on the 2010 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and ECC.

This course emphasizes patient assessment and treatment within the recommended thirty-minute door-to-needle time and ninety-minute door-to-balloon time.

Previous experience or basic EKG knowledge is recommended.
