This course supports the efforts of American Heart Association's Mission: Lifeline(R), a national initiative to improve quality of care and outcomes in heart attack patients by improving healthcare systems' readiness and response to STEMI patients. Intended for use by out-of hospital healthcare providers, as well as emergency department personnel and other STEMI systems-of-care providers. Based on the 2010 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and ECC.
This course emphasizes assessing patients and providing treatment within the recommended 30-minute door-to-needle time and 90-minute door-to-balloon time.
Previous experience or basic EKG knowledge is recommended.
