(DES MOINES,IA) – On Monday, January 21, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Mercy College of Health Sciences is hosting an MLK Jr. #KeepTheDreamAlive Event and Peace Walk. The event will start on campus at the Sullivan Center, Room 102 from 9am – 12pm.

The event is for students, staff, faculty, and the general public to come together, reflect on Dr. King’s message, and pay tribute to him. The event will end with poster making and a peace walk around campus.

“So much of what Dr. King stood for is still so relevant today. With our students and even faculty and staff, we wanted to show that Dr. King’s message and dream is still alive today,” stated Dr. Joelle Stolte, Program Chair of the Professional Development Committee that created the event.

9:30 am – MLK Jr Tribute Video & Discussion
