DES MOINES, Iowa, October 20, 2020 — Mercy College of Health Sciences has announced its seventh consecutive semester of record enrollment. These records include both the total number of new students and the total number of all students attending Mercy College this fall.

The total number of new students is at a record high of 320, marking this as the seventh consecutive semester of new student record enrollment. Mercy College’s total enrollment of both new and returning students is 853. In comparison, enrollment was at 795 students in fall 2019, an increase of more than 7%.

“Our continued enrollment growth is a reflection of the quality healthcare education and support that our faculty and staff provide,” stated Director of Admissions Andrew Gress. “The active engagement with prospect and current students by our enrollment team and all our colleagues plays a critical role in our ongoing success during these unprecedented times. We’re very grateful for each student who chooses to entrust their future to Mercy College.”

Not only has student enrollment increased, but the standards of admitted students remains high as well. The average ACT score for fall 2020 new students at Mercy College has also increased for the third consecutive year.
