Catherine’s Cabinet

Student FOOD BANK

CATHERINE’S CABINET

Mercy College of Health Sciences is proud to offer Catherine’s Cabinet, a student food bank providing supplemental support to students who are facing food insecurity and need assistance. Although supplemental support does not supply all the food needed, the goal is to provide food and other items to help students with their basic needs. Students who struggle with food insecurity or need assistance are eligible to receive food at their own discretion.

Catherine’s Cabinet has two locations on campus. In an effort to provide more consistent supply of food and better serve the needs of our students, the Catherine’s Cabinet located in the Academic Center for Excellence – Room 184 has adopted a new process effective immediately. We are asking students to take food only after completing the required one-time Intake Form. Follow-up visits to this food pantry location will require a badge scan and sign-in on the tablet provided. Please note: this is an honor system. Please be considerate of others who need food and take only what you need from the shelves and/or refrigerator. Following this process will allow us to receive regular supplies of food from our community partner, St Vincent de Paul.

The Catherine’s Cabinet location in the Sullivan Center – Room 122 will continue to provide food and other items with no sign-up required.
