Financial Literacy

On-Campus Events

FAFSA Frenzy

FAFSA Frenzy is a recurring event with the purpose of encouraging and personally assisting students to fill out their FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).

Lifestyle-Based Financial Literacy

We realize that learning about personal finance skills and strategies can be dull at times, so Mercy College Financial Literacy will occasionally have events that connect personal finance directly to your everyday life. Our Thrifty Eats event, for example, focuses on equipping students with cost-effective, healthy recipes, as well as the chance to start building a budget-friendly meal plan.

Student Loan Sessions

These sessions, which are typically led by members of the Mercy College Financial Aid Department, provide current students with information about different types of loans, loan repayment, and loan forgiveness options. In the end, these sessions explain how your own long-term loan strategies can impact your credit for better or for worse.

And More!

Mercy College Financial Literacy is always working on new resources and events for our students. Keep an eye out for the events mentioned above, but also for information, resources, and events for topics such as retirement planning, financing a home, and protecting yourself from identity theft.
