Identification Badge Requirement
A student identification badge will be issued and required to be worn when on campus or in clinical settings at all times. At orientation and registration sessions, students complete paperwork, have their picture taken, and will be issued their badge. Badges are required to access campus buildings, parking lots, printing access and Mercy Medical Center clinical areas. Students enrolled in online programs who use library services on campus will need to complete paperwork to obtain a badge so they have access to the library.
Replacement badges can be obtained from the college receptionist located in the Sullivan Center lobby. Students will be charged a replacement fee for lost or stolen ID badges. If a badge is damaged beyond use, the replacement fee will be waived.
Badges will be returned to the Office of the Registrar at the time of graduation or withdrawal from Mercy College.
Visitors to Mercy College are expected to present themselves to the College receptionist located on the main level of the Patricia Clare Sullivan Center. Visitors are generally greeted by a member of the College Community and escorted to their destination on campus. Other buildings on the main campus are locked and accessible only with a College-issued student or employee badge to enhance security.
After 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and on weekends, access to all campus buildings is restricted to security badge holders. Student access to the campus on weekends is limited to the hours that the College Library is open to the public.
