DES MOINES, Iowa, January 21, 2021 — Mercy College of Health Sciences has announced a new tuition structure for the 2021-2022 academic school year that is anticipated to result in a tuition decrease for many students. The announcement comes after the recent approval by the Mercy College Board of Directors.
The tuition structure eliminates the part-time (1 – 11 credit hours) and full-time (12 – 18 credit hours) enrollment statuses in favor of a per credit hour tuition structure for all credits attempted. As a result, tuition will be $680 per credit hour, regardless of the number of credits attempted. The new structure is designed to improve the understanding and transparency around the cost of a Mercy College education.

Exceptions to this new structure include credits attempted in the Paramedic, Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and Mercy College PLUS programs. A complete listing of tuition and fees for the upcoming year can be found on Mercy College’s website at www.mchs.edu/tuition.
Despite a challenging year, Mercy College has also distributed more than $450,000 in federal and state emergency aid directly to students. The funds have assisted students with emergency needs in their personal lives and facilitated their transition to online learning.
