The Downtown Community Alliance (DCA) and Des Moines Performing Arts are pleased to announce the lineup for the Lunch Unplugged concert series. Now in its fourth year, Lunch Unplugged infuses culturally-rich programming with local flavor into the Downtown workday at an affordable price. Take back the lunch hour with choice local entertainment in the beautiful setting of the Temple Theater.
Mercy College of Health Sciences is the series Presenting Sponsor again in 2014. “As the College located in downtown Des Moines, Mercy College of Health Sciences understands the importance of maintaining a healthy balance in life and is pleased to serve as the presenting sponsor to encourage our students and the community at-large to take time to enjoy the arts,” according to Dr. Barbara Decker, President.
Tickets are $5 and can be purchased in advance online at www.lunchunplugged.com, by phone at 515-246-2300, at the Civic Center Ticket Office (221 Walnut Street), or at the Temple Theater Ticket Office 30 minutes prior to the show. Concert attendees may bring their own lunch to eat in the theater.
All Lunch Unplugged concerts are held from noon – 1 p.m. in the Temple Theater at the Temple for Performing Arts, 1011 Locust Street in Downtown Des Moine
The Lunch Unplugged concert series will kick off Feb. 27 with local artists Parlours, and will include six individual concerts through April 24.
