Transfer Students
Students are considered transfer students at Mercy College when they have earned a minimum of nine (9) credits at a post-secondary institution.
Transferring Your Credits
Courses accepted as transfer credit may apply toward degree requirements and must be of comparable content and length to Mercy College courses. A minimum grade of "C" (not "C-") is required for transfer credit. Transfer grades will not be used to calculate a Mercy College cumulative grade point average (GPA).
Each professional program will establish criteria for the maximum number of credit hours that may be transferred to satisfy program requirements.
Students admitted to and enrolled in Mercy College are permitted to transfer one liberal arts and sciences course from another institution while enrolled in an associate degree program at Mercy College and one additional liberal arts and sciences course after completion of an associate degree program while enrolled in a baccalaureate degree at Mercy College.
An Official Transcript
A transcript is considered official when stamped with the official school seal, signed by the appropriate school official and received in a sealed envelope. During the application process, request that official transcript(s) be sent to the Mercy College Admissions Office from your high school and any colleges you have attended.

Yes, it's that easy!
"The transition between Iowa and Mercy College was smooth; I transferred 30 LAS credits towards the Mercy College B.S.N. Accelerated Program, which allowed me to receive my R.N. degree, while working towards my B.S.N. degree at the same time. All in a shorter amount of time than I ever thought possible."
