2011-14 Strategic Plan

The 2011-2014 Strategic Planning Process began with a Planning Retreat with members of the College Board of Directors and a number of representatives from the campus community.  Outcomes of the planning retreat established the thematic foundation for the Strategic Plan.

After consideration of the Strategic Planning Retreat outcomes, the current strategic plan and the HLC accreditation framework, as well as input from the College Community, five themes emerged as pillars of the 2011-2014 Strategic Plan.  These pillars are:

The Dog Wood

The Dogwood -

The dogwood is an important symbol of Jesus and his crucifixion. The blossom of the dogwood also serves as a reminder for Christians that Jesus died on the cross to cleanse their sins. Common symbols of the crucifixion, such as the thorny crown and the cross, were recreated in the dogwood blossom.
