The Catherine McAuley Award for Nursing Excellence was first awarded on June 11, 1999 to four women – two honored as distinguished friends of Mercy and two alumni. Since that time, the list of honorees continues to grow and reflect the diverse ways that Mercy alumni have impacted the lives of others through their careers and other interests in service to their communities and Mercy College.
