Mercy College Graduates 170 Students in Eight Healthcare Disciplines this Summer
(Des Moines) – Mercy College conferred 170 Bachelor and Associate of Science degrees as well as Certificates at a ceremony held at Veterans Memorial Auditorium, 833 5th Ave., Des Moines on Friday, August 20, 2010.
These students graduated from the following academic programs; Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing; Associate of Science Degree in Nursing and Certificates in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Assisting, Paramedic, Polysomnographic Technology and Surgical Technology.
Ms. Elisabeth Buck, Agency Director for the Iowa Department of Workforce Development, was the Commencement Speaker and Associate of Science Nursing graduate Rebecca Schleuger-Valadao delivered the Student Farewell Address.
The commencement event was open to the public with a reception for graduates and their families at Mercy College hosted by President Barbara Quijano Decker.
