Associate of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography Admission Requirements
The successful applicant for admission to the associate of science program must meet the general college requirements for admission to Mercy College and the criteria listed below: Have earned a grade of “C” (not “C-”) or above in each of the following high school (or college equivalent) courses: Algebra I, Algebra II, and Biology.

High school students must meet both of the following:
Earn a cumulative GPA of 2.7.
Minimum ACT composite score of 20 or better.

Transfer students must meet both of the following:
Earn a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher on a 4.0 scale at the last college attended (minimum of 9 credits).
Complete nine college credit hours specific to the Mercy College ASDMS curriculum, achieving a grade of “C” or above (not “C-”) in each course.

Provide documentation of an eight-hour observation in an ultrasound department: two hours in abdominal, cardiac, obstetrics and vascular for a total of eight hours.

Achieve an interview score of 80% or higher with the Selection Committee. This interview is scheduled when all other admission requirements have been met.
