The American Heart Association's BLS courses reinforce healthcare professionals' understanding of the importance of early CPR and defibrillation, performing basic steps of CPR, relieving choking, using an AED, and the role of each link in the Chain of Survival.

Healthcare Provider CPR Course

The BLS for Healthcare Providers – classroom course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several like-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner

Work Place CPR AED/Heartsaver CPR AED

This classroom course teaches basic CPR skills such as performing a head tilt-chin lift and giving compressions and breaths.

The course provides training for anyone who wants to learn basic CPR and obtain a Heartsaver course completion card

Workplace First Aid CPR and AED
Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED


Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives.

Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. This course also teaches adult CPR and AED use.

Community CPR AED and First Aid
Family and Friends CPR and First Aid for Children (non-certified)

Family and Friends CPR course teaches adult Hands-Only CPR, adult AED use, child CPR and AED use and infant CPR. It also teaches how to relieve choking in an adult, child or infant. This class also offers the Family and Friends First Aid for Children. Participants will learn how to manage illness and injuries in a child for the first few minutes until professional help arrives and covers child safety and preventing injuries.
