College Committees

Mercy College faculty govern through the College Senate, which acts as advisor to the College administrative personnel, forwarding its recommendations to the members of the Provost’s Council and to the President for appropriate action. All College employees are granted membership in the College Senate, although only those employees holding faculty rank may vote on academic issues.

The College Senate meets throughout the year (except December) and operates through a number of standing and ad hoc committees as identified below.
