Your background check results and clinical requirements will be posted on the CertifiedBackground.com website where you, as well as the college, can view them. Certified Profile also provides you with access to additional feeatures including document storage, portfolio builders and reference tools. You will utilize some of these features during your professional program. This is a document storage tool for you to use at Mercy College and beyond. You can utilize your Certified Profile to organize important documents as you prepare for a career in Healthcare.
Go to www.mchs.edu/cp for step-by-step instructions on how to place your Order with Certified Profile. Click on the link under “Place your Order” to establish your account with Certified Profile along with the required payment.
For degree-seeking students, your package code is provided to you by your Program Chair upon acceptance into your professional program. For Short-term Certificate students, your package code can be found in your Registration Packet.
Yes, you will be prompted to enter your Visa or Mastercard information. Money orders are also accepted but will result in a $10 fee and an additional turnaround time. The fee to purchase your package will be $90.00. Do not close your browser after submitting your payment, click NEXT at the bottom of the screen.
To access your Certified Profile, visit CertifiedBackground.com and log-in to your account using the email address you provided when you placed your order.
On the payment confirmation page, click NEXT at the bottom of the screen to access your “To Do” list. Once at your “To Do” list, click on the + sign to expand the information under Background Check. Download, print, sign, and fax both the Adult Abuse Request and Child Abuse Request forms back to Certified Profile. Fax it back to 910-343-9731 or email it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sign and date ONLY the middle signature box under the words "To be completed by the person authorizing the Department of Human Services to release dependent adult/child abuse information".
Results are normally returned within 5-7 business days. Please note that turnaround time will vary based on the specific items in your order. THE REVIEW PROCESS CAN TAKE UP TO 45 DAYS TO COMPLETE IF THERE IS A CRIMINAL CONVICTION FOUND ON YOUR REPORT.
Once your results are posted, you will receive a message in your Certified Profile Message Inbox titled "Completed Order Results." In this message, links are provided to dispute additional charges or criminal records.
The preferred method for submitting documents is uploading them to your profile. You can also use the iPhone app (CertifiedProfile) or fax immunization documents with the required cover sheet.
Download the Immunization Form if you need a form to document the required immunizations. You are not required to use this form. You can use alternate documentation (i.e. physician’s office, immunization card, health records, etc.).
You can upload files by scanning in your original document. This scanned document then can be uploaded to your profile from your computer. Once the document is uploaded click submit.
Once uploaded, records are reviewed on a daily basis.
You must use the cover sheet provided under each specific immunization requirement. You can download and print the cover sheet by selecting “other options” under each requirement. Documents sent without the cover sheet will be destroyed.
Once your faxes are received by Certified Profile, they will send you an email confirming that your documents are now available in your account. If you do not receive an email within 48 hours of faxing, we suggest re-faxing the documents.
Once I have faxed my immunization documentation to Certified Profile, how long does it take for them to be uploaded and reviewed?
It can take up to 3 business days for faxed documents to be uploaded, reviewed, and approved.
You can replace a document that has been rejected within your Certified Profile by uploading a new document.
First, ensure that you have read the approval guidelines for the requirement in question.
