Clinical Coordinator-Sonography-16 hours/week

We are seeking candidates for a position as Clinical Coordinator for the general sonography track of our DMS degree.  The candidate will work approximately 16 hours/week.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree; 2 year degree as a sonographer; 2 years experience working as a sonographer and credentialed in abdomen and OB. 

Adjunct Faculty-Biology/Pathphysiology

Adjunct instructors are needed to teach biology and/or pathphysiology.  

Qualifications include a Master's degree in a related field and experience leading and/or teaching others.


The Secretary will provide administrative support for the members of the School of Allied Health.  This may include typing correspondence, assisting with presentation preparation, taking minutes at meetings and assisting Program Chairs with the admissions to program process.

Qualifications include an Associate's degree or equivalent experience; proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software, 3 years experience providing general office support and excellent communication skills.

Director, Information Technology

The position will be responsible for directing and managing the information technology activities for the College.  The position will collaborate with our partners to meet the technology needs of the College.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field; 4+ years experience in technical and relational database administration with SQL; excellent relationship building skills and experience to lead and direct others.

Director, Institutional Research and Effectiveness

The Director will provide direction and leadership for institutional research and effectiveness and program accreditation.  The position will oversee the assessment office activities.

Qualifications include a Master's degree in higher education. social sciences, statistics or related field; 3+ years experience in institutional research in an institution of higher learning or similar setting; demonstrated knowledge of research methods and advanced statistical analysis techniques and knowledge of regional and progam accreditation requirements and procedures.

Assistant Professor-Math/Statistics

We are seeking candidates for a full-time Math/Statistics instructor in the School of Liberal Arts & Science.  The position is a 12 month contract.

Qualifications include a PhD or EdD in a related field, teaching experience, and excellent communication skills. 

EMS Instructor

The position will provide instruction for students in the Emergency Medical Technician and Paramedic programs.  The incumbent will also have teaching responsibilities in Mercy College's American Heart Association Training Center.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree; experience working as a EMT and/or Paramedic; credentialied by the National EMS Registry.

AmeriCorps VISTA Opportunity

The VISTA will design and implement a comprehensive financial literacy program for Mercy College.  The position includes  developing program materials, creating and presenting seminars, identifying outreach opportunities, developing "train the trainer" materials, working with students and identified trainers, and coordinating and overseeing the financial literacy program.  The position will also assist faculty with the implementation of service learning components in their courses and programs.  Application and more information regarding becoming a VISA are available at

Surgical Technology Program Chair

Responsibilities include oversight of the Surgical Technology program and faculty.

Qualifications include master's degree; certification in Surgical Technology and experience.

Nursing Instructor

Full-time position, 12  month contract, teaching in the Associate of Science in Nursing program.

Qualifications MSN, 2 years in a clinical environment and proficiency in teaching methodologies; PhD, EdD or DNP preferred.

Adjunct Faculty Positions


Adjunct instructors are needed to teach in the clinical environments for the Associate of Nursing program.

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and 2 years experience as a RN. Current and valid Iowa Registered Nursing license is required.


Adjunct instructors are needed to teach CPR, ACLS and PALS courses.

Qualifications include a BLS certification in CPR for the Health care Worker and experience in health care delivery. CPR, ACLS and PALS instructors must have a current Instructor Certification.  For ACLS and PALS a minimum of 1 year experience as an ACLS or PALS provider is required.
