Personal History

One of my nursing professors gave me a great bit of wisdom in one of my nursing education courses.  She said that when you are a nurse educator, all of your students become your patients.  This is so true because it seems appropriate to come up with a ‘care plan’ for each one as we all learn differently.  I was born and raised in Des Moines, so we were happy to be able to move back to the area in 2004.  I currently live in Johnston with my husband Kelly, son, daughter and 2 dogs.  I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, running, reading, and knitting.
