Clinical/Field Experience

Prior to coming to MCHS,full-time faculty member at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, from 1984-1994, where I also directed Creighton's Medical Humanities Program, and Honors Program; full-time faculty member at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida, from 1994-2000, where I set up and directed Barry's Council on Biomedical Ethics;
Academic Dean (Chief Academic Officer), Presentation College, Aberdeen, South Dakota.

  • Latest book: Renewing Christian Ethics: The Catholic Tradition (Uiversity of Scranton Press, 2005.
  • Regularly publishing essay-reviews for National Catholic Bioethics Quarterly--latest was a 2000-word review of Making Health Care Decisions: A Catholic Guide, edited by Ron Hamel (Winter, 2008).
