Allied Health Division Policies
The following policies apply to all academic programs within the division:
Failed Course Policy
Students failing one professional program course are not promotable, will be dismissed from the program and will need to apply for readmission to subsequent admission classes. A maximum of one failed (“C-” or lower) professional program course may be repeated upon readmission to a program. Failure of or withdrawal from the repeated professional course or failure of a second professional course will result in dismissal from the program.
Incomplete Policy
Students who are unable to complete a program requirement within a semester because of extenuating circumstances and are students in “good standing” may request an Incomplete. The program chair/ coordinator or appropriate Dean will determine if the student is able to be promoted to the next semester with an outstanding “I” incomplete grade. Students with an “I” incomplete grade in a prerequisite course(s) will not be promoted to the next semester. Students with an “I” incomplete grade in a clinical course may be promoted depending on the reason for the “I” incomplete. At the discretion of the instructor, deadlines for satisfying an Incomplete can be from a few days to 30 calendar days after the end of the semester in which the incomplete occurred. Students will be required to pay a clinical make up fee. (See Tuition & Fees.) |
