Cardiovascular diseases and stroke are the #1 cause of death in Iowa. Statewide, 9,559 deaths (35.1% of all deaths) were caused by these diseases in 2006.

There are approximately 3500 Community Training Centers in the country. Mercy College of Health Sciences is one of the centers.

Our goal is to increase the outreach of the American Heart Association and Mercy College of Health Sciences throughout the community. We provide quality education training programs designed to promote wellness and save lives while meeting the needs of the community and industry.
