Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider Courses

This course will enhance your skills in the treatment of arrest and peri-arrest patients through active participation in a series of simulated cardiopulmonary cases.

Objective

• Recognize and initiate early management of peri-arrest conditions that may result in cardiac arrest or complicate resuscitation outcome.
• Demonstrate proficiency in providing BLS care including prioritizing chest compressions and integrating AED use.
• Manage cardiac arrest until ROSC, termination of resuscitation, or transfer of care.

Attendance of the entire program is required for course completion.

Cost: $175 per participant

ACLS Provider Renewal Course

ACLS Provider Renewal Course must be completed within 24 months of previous ACLS Provider Course. This eight-hour renewal course provides review of course material and re-verification of skills and knowledge.

Attendance of entire program is required for course completion.

ACLS materials can be purchased from Mercy AHA Training Center by calling the main office at (515) 643-7491. If you are a Mercy Employee, ACLS materials must be checked out from the Levitt Library on “A” level of Mercy Medical Center – Des Moines.
