Academic and Admissions Coordinator

The School of Nursing is seeking candidates for an Academic and Admissions Coordinator to manage the admissions process for students enrolling in a Nursing program.  The position will provide support for accreditation and to the Dean of the School of Nursing.

Administrative Assistant

The Student Affairs Department has an opening for an Administrative Assistant.  The position will provide support for the department and the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs.

Secretary, School of Nursing

Mercy College is seeking candidates for nursing instructor for the ASN and BSN programs.  Responsibilities include teaching in didactic, lab and clinical settings.

Qualifications include a Master's degree in Nursing, current and valid RN license, minimum 2 years' clinical experience and demonstrated experience leading and training others.  Requisition number:  2017-R0093224.

Associate Dean, Nursing Clinical Education

We are creating a new position to provide oversight and management of clinical education for students within the School of Nursing.  The position will serve as liaison for the College and clinical sites, coordinate clinical rotations for students,  seek out new clinical sites and provide training for clinical instructors.  The position may have teaching responsibility in a clinical environment.  Qualifications include a Master's degree in Nursing, current and valid Iowa RN or ARNP licensure, minimum of 2 years recent clinical experience and demonstrated ability leading, managing or training others.  Requisition number:  2016-R0086976.

Physiology/Pathophysiology Instructor

We are seeking candidates for a 12 month faculty position beginning fall, 2016.  Ideal candidates will possess a PhD in physiology or related, 18 graduate credit hours in physiology, and 2 years teaching experience.  The position is located in Des Moines, Iowa.  Requisition number:  2016-R0061602.

Adjunct Faculty Positions


We are seeking instructors to add to our adjunct pool teaching Finance in an online format.  Position is an as needed position each semester pending student enrollment.

Qualifications include a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field and experience teaching/training others.  Requisition number:  2017-R0098547.

Health Information Management

Adjunct instructors are needed to teach in the new Bachelor's in Health Information Management program.  Master's degree, 18 graduate credit hours in Health Information Management or related courses and experience working as a Health Information Technician with medical records and/or coding is required.  2016-R0078854.


Adjunct instructors are needed to teach in the clinical environments for the ASN and BSN programs.

Qualified candidates will possess a Master's degree in Nursing and 2 years experience as a RN. Master's degree preferred. Current and valid Iowa Registered Nursing license is required.

Qualifications include a BLS certification in CPR for the Health care Worker and experience in health care delivery. CPR, ACLS and PALS instructors must have a current Instructor Certification.  For ACLS and PALS a minimum of 1 year experience as an ACLS or PALS provider is required.
