Assistant Professor, Radiology Technology

We have an opening for a full-time, 12 month, clinical coordinator and instructor.  The position will be responsible for providing teaching and advisement to students and coordinating clinical education.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Radiology Technology or related field, 2 years' experience in radioilogy technology, minimum 1 year experience as an instructor, in a JCERT accredited program, current and valid Iowa Permit to Practice and certification in American Registry of Radioloty Technology.  Requisition number:  2017 - R0135590.

Assistant Professor, Servant Leadership

We have a part-time instructor position to teach a Mercy College hallmark course:  Servant Leadersihp.  The position will teach 12 months on a part-time basis.

Qualifications include a doctorate degree in Philosophy or related field and 18 graduate credit hours in general humanities, 3 years' experience in academic teaching.  Requisition number:  Requisition number:  2017-R0137168.

Program Coordinators, Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP)

We are seeking candidates for 3 Program Coordinator positions for our new DNP program.  Coordinators are needed for Organization and Systems Leadership, Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Practice concentrations.  The positions will be responsible for 50% teaching and 50% administration of the program.

Qualifications for the Organization and systems Leadership position require a DNP, PhD in Nursing or a doctorate degree and a Master's of Science Degree in Nursing.

Qualifications include a DNP or PhD, relevant work experience and the appropriate certification for the concentration.

Student Affairs Associate - As needed position

The position will provide administrative support for the Student Affairs Department which includes the Registrar, Admissions, and Financial Aid offices.  The position will work on an as needed basis.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years' experience working in an office environment and strong organizational and customer service skills.  Requisition number:  2017-R134059.

EMT and Paramedic Instructor

Emergency Medical Services has an opening for a full-ttime (12 month) instructor to teach in the EMT and Paramedic programs.  The position will also have responsibility for teaching and coordinating classes for BLS, ACLS, and other American Heart Association courses.

Medical Billing and Coding Instructor

We have a position for an as needed instructor to teach the Medical Billing and Coding course.  Courses are scheduled pending student enrollment.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or a combination of education, training and tested experience, CPC, CCS, CCSP, CCA, RHIT, or RHIA certification, two years’ experience in medical billing and coding (hospital, physician office, billing center, medical records).  Requisition number:  2017-R0131607

Teaching Assistant 

Individuals are needed to assist students enrolled in the School of Nursing.  Incumbents will collaborate with Nursing instructors to determine students' needs and the best approach to address those needs.

Assistant Professor - Nursing

The School of Nursing has an immediate opening for a full-time, 12 month, nursing instructor.  Teaching responsibilities include didactic, lab and/or clinical for the ASN and BSN programs.

Microbiology and Chemistry

The College is need of adjuncts to teach the Microbiology and Chemistry courses for the spring 2018 semester. 

Qualifications include a Master's degree in the field or a Master's degree and 18 graduate credit hours in the field or related field.

Adjunct instructors are needed to teach CPR, ACLS and PALS courses.

Qualifications include a BLS certification in CPR for the Health care Worker and experience in health care delivery. CPR, ACLS and PALS instructors must have a current Instructor Certification.  For ACLS and PALS a minimum of 1 year experience as an ACLS or PALS provider is required.
